NB : This business has run at a loss for the last 4 years , mainly because I spent several months in hospital, and years recuperating . The manager we employed was way out of his depth , but I was to sick to realise it . Since I’ve taken over again, things have improved dramatically. This business does pretty much every thing , from cleaning gutters , building decks and fences , to concrete paths , house renovations and asphalt work . Business Resources
We employ 7 full time staff ,including a full time mechanic, and 3 to 5 casuals , depending on the work load . We own all the equipment necessary to do the work , and seldom have to hire plant etc. Plant includes , 6 tonne loader , 3 d/c crew trucks , 2 x 4 wheeler tip trucks , 3.5 tonne digger, generators etc , and a fully equipped workshop. The gear is all mid 1990’s, as we find they are more reliable, and easier to repair than computerised late model stuff .
