MURUPARA MOTOR CAMP

Murupara Motor Camp allows an astute buyer entering the Holiday Park, Camping Grounds accommodation sector, an excellent entry level opportunity to build this great business up to the next level, whist living in a truly beautiful, unique and natural part of New Zealand!

Murupara Motor Camp has been operating for 44 years and has two main concrete block accommodation blocks consisting of 22 rooms, including 1 x 2 bedroom self contained motel unit, 1 x super King (split) room, 6 x Queen rooms and the balance as twin or bunks. There are 29 powered sites and in the 2.6 hectares of grounds, enough room for 30 non-powered sites and up to 60 tent sites. The camp also features four dumping stations. All Rafting Tourism Operations on the Rangitaiki River and the Aniwhenua are based at the camp, which provides a steady income stream, as does the ability to fish for trout all year round on the Rangitaiki river; one of the few places in the North Island where this can happen.

The communal ablution blocks and kitchens have recently been refurbished.

The Motor Camp is ideal for food and beverage catering as a separate complex offers a large kitchen and function rooms for up to 100 guests, and this complex also acts as a commercial dining room for bush contractors and construction workers, staying on site during the off season, who can take over most of the Motor Camp when conducting construction works in the area.

Other facilities include an onsite twin spa bath and a small swimming pool, however the large public 50m swimming pool is just over the fence of the Motor Camp! Plus a guest BBQ area has been established near the lounge, which has a pool/table tennis options, plus TV.
